I talk to women all of the time who struggle to incorporate strength training. Either because they don’t know what to do, or feel like it will take too long to get results. I felt obligated to create Get Strong with Dumbbells so I can show women an effective way to exercise, how to incorporate strength training into their life, and how to do this in minutes in the comfort of their own home and still get the results they've always wanted.

A lot of women have misconceptions about strength training. They think they’ll look like a man if they lift weights. They think they may get injured. They think that strength training takes too much time. They think cardio is the way to get in shape and lose weight.
Other programs and trainers out there say you need to dedicate at least an hour in the gym per day. They say you need a lot of equipment, or if you're not rolling around the floor in agony after each session, you won't see results.
But we know it doesn’t work that way. We know that building strength, fitness, and stamina doesn’t have to take hours a day. It doesn’t even need to be done everyday. You can do it in the comfort of your own home with minimal equipment. And you don't need to be miserable in order for you to reap the benefits.

HOW IT WORKS
I’m going to provide a 12 week dumbbell DIY strength program for you. You will know what, when, and how much you should be doing each day. It's so easy, there's no excuse for not getting started.
I provide a “get started” guide so you know what to expect from the program, what equipment you need, terms to know, and how to make it work for you. I also provide a workout demonstration video for each workout so you know what each exercise is, the form and cues you should be thinking about, and the modifications.

Who am I?
I’m Kristin. I’ve been a fitness trainer for over 20 years, I’m a mom of 5 kids, and still consider myself to be an athlete! I think if you train with purpose, you’re an athlete.
I grew up doing competitive gymnastics. At 11 years old I started to struggle with body image disorder, which caused me to under eat and over-exercise. I was constantly chasing a body I didn’t have, and in the wrong way. I was afraid to do strength training because I didn’t want to look more bulky and stocky than I already did. I was chasing skinny with never ending cardio and all I got for it was more injuries, a messed up metabolism, constant hunger and exhaustion, out of wack hormones, and frustration.
It really wasn’t until my early 30’s that I was fed up enough to try another way. I got into Crossfit, which I loved! It was my first introduction into lifting weights. It went well with my gymnastics background, and competitiveness so I excelled and even competed in the Crossfit Regional Games. Unfortunately the high demands weren't so great for my body that was already a bit broken.
I struggled for a few more years to find the best approach. I believe I found a great balance of strength training and some high intensity work that is effective and I believe I’ll be able to do for a long time. Which is the goal!
Through my years of experience and certifications, I’ve written 1000’s of workout plans and programs that have helped my clients gain strength, increase their level of fitness, gain consistency and motivation. Enjoying the journey while making these changes! I want that for you too!

Feel like you need a little more guidance on nutrition? I'm offering a 6 week program to compliment your fitness journey. We’re going to get right to business by figuring out your individual nutritional foundation. We’re going to identify the “big rocks” that make the biggest difference in your day to day life. Once those are established and practiced, we’ll layer on more tools. We’ll learn and practice mindfulness tools that will help us to get in touch with how are bodies are feeling in the moment. Something dieting has made impossible for us to do. We’re going to lay the foundation needed to improve our relationship with food, so we never feel the need to diet again!

Weekly 15-20 minute zoom call where I’ll teach a lesson. (will be recorded if can't attend). After which, you will have a chance to comment, ask questions, troubleshoot, get feedback, download, etc. so you can get your questions and concerns answered in real time.
